WAR COMMEMORATION FOR UKRAINE 2026
 
I am writing to formally announce the War Commemoration for Ukraine that we have planned. Attached are the official event flyers, available in both English and Ukrainian.
As a brief overview, the event will be structured as follows:
  • Demonstration: We will begin with a demonstration, following the tradition of past years. Participants will gather adjacent to Schenley Plaza.
  • Summit: Following the demonstration, the summit will take place inside Heinz Chapel, featuring various exhibitions, including the War and Resistance program by Fulbright Scholars. Attendees will also have the opportunity to write letters directly to political prisoners in Russia.
  • Panakhyda: The event will conclude with a Panakhyda led by clergy from Pittsburgh.
     
We anticipate the attendance of elected officials and distinguished guests, including many with no prior connection to Ukraine. We kindly ask that you share this announcement widely and invite people from all communities, regardless of size or affiliation. We welcome anyone to attend! Please share with connections at the universities, foundations, and anyone in the political sphere.
Thank you for helping us honor Ukraine and stand in solidarity with those affected by the ongoing conflict.
